The 2016 Legislative Symposium will be held March 14 – 15 at the Hilton Alexandria Old Town in Alexandria, VA. Early registration deadline, for the discount fee of $205, is February 15th. After February 15th, the fee is $260. A confirmation email will be sent.
All attendees will be housed at the Hilton Alexandria Old Town, located in historic Alexandria, VA; convenient to King Street shops and restaurants, Reagan National Airport and the King Street Metro stop (Blue and Yellow Lines). A block of rooms has been set aside for Legislative Symposium attendees and will be held until February 27th. Accommodations are $154 for single or double rooms, plus any additional applicable taxes. Atlanta Science Festival
March 19th – 26th, 2016
Atlanta Science Festival is looking for volunteers. I volunteered last year and will again this year, it was a blast and they are really doing amazing work bringing science to children all over metro Atlanta.
March 19th – 26th, 2016 is their week but there is plenty to do prior to this if you have the time to help them out I highly encourage you to do so if you are able, it is incredibly rewarding. Visit their website and sign up if you have some time to spare: http://atlantasciencefestival.org/
Volunteer opportunity from our frinds at MUST Ministries:
We have a volunteer opportunity to take food donations at Stone Mountain Park during their opening weekend Saturday March 5th and Sunday March 6th from 10am-4pm. We are seeking 12 volunteers to form teams of 3 persons working 3 hour shifts, (6 persons for Saturday and 6 for Sunday). The shifts each day are 10am until 1pm and 1pm until 4pm.
